Initially my friend did briefly mention that the module entitled ' ICT meaningful learning' is about, how to operate, to access and to adapt to the latest computer software, features and programmes. Immediately, it came to my mind that, it's sort of a computer literacy course. In fact, after the session today, I would like to emphasize and to reassure that, ICT meaningful learning, is NOT a computer literacy course, instead, it's a pedagogy course about learning IT to engage students in learning.

Of course, Dr. Quek briefly went through the short history of development in IT using and upgrade for teaching purposes. The history itself is pretty short. However, since 1997, I deem that government's, inclusive of MOE's, efforts and policies do bring strong and positive impact and consequences in the sphere of education, in Singapore. Masterplan 1, Masterplan 2 and Masterplan 3, and I think more and more programmes and plans will be carried out some time in the future, in order to prepare, not even students, but also teachers for 21st century!

ICT meaningful learning is a well-designated rostrum for teachers-to-be to be equipped with IT skills, to learn conducting lessons meaningfully via IT, to learn how to prompt students to think more in depth and to think more in the cognitive level via IT-integrated teaching programmes, to be aware and be self-updated with the lastest IT news and education policies or regulations.
